Lee Pearson has been appointed Offaly football captain for 2024.
The Edenderry clubman won an All-Ireland U20FC medal under new senior boss Declan Kelly in 2021 and succeeds fellow defender Declan Hogan in the role. Pearson is named in the full back line alongside debutant Diarmuid Finneran for this evening’s O’Byrne Cup opener against Laois in Stradbally, with the winner having a home game against All-Ireland champions Dublin to look forward to on Saturday.
