This week's inter-county and club fixtures as 2024 season begins

The 2024 inter-county season is up and running with pre-season competitions across the country kicking into action this week.
Today (Tuesday) sees New York and Leitrim clashing in the preliminary round of the Connacht Hurling League at the Connacht GAA Air Dome (5pm), with Kerry and Waterford meeting in the Munster Hurling League later in the day (7.30pm). In football, Wexford host Wicklow in the O’Byrne Cup with two more games in that competition also taking place tomorrow evening (see below).
The first weekend of the New Year also sees the All-Ireland club football semi-finals taking place, with the intermediate and junior clashes on Saturday. Sunday sees the heavyweight showdowns between St Brigid’s (Roscommon) and Castlehaven (Cork) in Thurles (1.45pm) and holders Kilmacud Crokes (Dublin) and Glen (Derry) in Newry (3.45pm). Both senior semis will be shown live on TG4.
