James McCarthy has all but confirmed that he will committing to the Dublin cause once again in 2024.
The news is a huge boost to the Dubs after the Ballymun Kickhams veteran had suggested immediately after last July's All-Ireland SFC final victory over Kerry that he was about to call it a day.
But after taking part in a charity soccer game in aid of Breast Cancer Ireland over the weekend - he lined out for Shelbourne Legends against Killester Donnycarney - McCarthy indicated that he is ready to go again in pursuit of a 10th All-Ireland medal.
When it was put to the All-Ireland SFC winning captain by the soccer blog ‘Striker Online’ that 10 is a "nice round number", he replied: "You'd have to give it a crack, don’t you I suppose? We’ll give it a belt and see what happens."
