Bray Emmets’ hugely successful senior hurling manager Paul Carley has stepped down.
During his six seasons in charge of the seaside club, the former Glynn-Barntown and Wexford hurler delivered a five-in-a-row of Wicklow SHC titles and an historic Leinster Club IHC title last year. Bray defeated Trim in the provincial final before going on to lose narrowly to Limerick’s Monaleen in the All-Ireland semi-final.
The Emmets put up a stout defence of their Leinster crown this year, only to lose the final to Thomastown of Kilkenny on the weekend before last. The Wicklow hurling kingpins have thanked Carley – who also won a Dublin Division 4 League title – for his work.
