Brian Stack has been named as Roscommon senior football captain for 2024.
Stack, who is currently preparing for St Brigid's All-Ireland Club SFC semi-final against Castlehaven early in the New Year, will be assisted by Diarmuid Murtagh of St. Faithleach’s who has been named as the vice-captain.
The appointments come amid reports that the long-serving Ciaráin Murtagh won't be involved with the Rossies in the coming season. Davy Burke's men will warm up for the new season with a challenge match against Donegal in Ballyshannon on Sunday afternoon, with all proceeds going to North West Hospice.
