Armagh’s 2024 hopes have been boosted by the news that Jarly Óg Burns has reversed his decision to take a break from the inter-county scene.
The 24-year-old Silverbridge clubman announced in October that he was taking a year out, but has since had a change of heart. His father Jarlath will take over the GAA presidency in February and this may have been a factor in his decision to return to Kieran McGeeney’s squad.
Meanwhile, Armagh and the other eight Ulster counties will find out who their Dr McKenna Cup opponents when the draw for the pre-season competition takes place in the Armagh City Hotel tomorrow night.
