Gowna and Kingscourt Stars will contest the Cavan SFC final following their respective victories over Crosserlough and Ramor United.

In the second part of yesterday's semi-final double-header at Kingspan Breffni, holders Gowna recovered from a slow start to overcome championship favourites Crosserlough by 1-18 to 0-14.

With county player Patrick Lynch in fine scoring form, Crosserlough raced into a 0-5 to 0-0 lead before the champions awoke from the slumber to regain parity at 0-8 apiece. However, a Conor Rehill point gave Crosserlough a slender lead at the break.

But the game took a decisive turn in Gowna's favour straight after the restart when Conor Madden bagged the only goal. They never looked back after that and Crosserlough's misery was compounded by Lynch's sending off in injury-time.

In the other last-four clash, Kingscourt came from 1-3 to 1-6 down at half-time to trump Ramor on a 1-12 to 1-8 scoreline.

Odhran Cunningham (Kingscourt) and Killian Maguire (Ramor) traded first half goals before the winners took over in the third quarter with four unanswered points. Jack Brady briefly levelled for the Virginia men, but the momentum remained with the Stars who closed out the win thanks to a brace of late points from Meath forward Jordan Morris.
