Ballyboden St Enda’s defeated southside rivals St Jude’s 3-13 to 0-9 at Parnell Park to set up a mouth-watering Dublin SFC final showdown with Kilmacud Crokes.

Whereas the reigning All-Ireland club champions needed a penalty shootout to scrape past Raheny in the first semi-final on Saturday, 2016 Andy Merrigan Cup winners ‘Boden had things very much their own way yesterday. The winners raced into an early 1-4 to 0-0 lead with Ryan O’Dwyer getting the goal before Darragh Rooney finally opened St Jude’s account from a 13th minute free.

The winners went on to lead by 1-9 to 0-5 at the break before three points in quick succession, including two from former Dublin star Kevin McManamon, reduced the gap to four, 0-9 to 1-10. But that was close as Jude’s got as late goals from Warren Egan and Ryan Basquel (penalty) added gloss to the scoreline.
