Naomh Conaill are into the Donegal senior football championship final for the seventh year running after battling past St Eunan’s to a 0-11 to 0-9 victory at MacCumhaill Park.
In what was a repeat of the last two decider in the Tir Chonaill County, the Glenties men had the wind advantage for the first-half and used to lead by 0-6 to 0-4 at the break.
Ciaran Thompson and Jeaic Mac Ceallbhui shot points early in the second-half to extend the holders’ lead to four prior to the St Eunan’s response, which was three unaswered scores via Niall O’Donnell (free), Caolan Ward and Eoin Dowling (free).
The game was there for either with seven minutes to go and, in the end, it was a Thompson free on 57 minutes which ensured Naomh Conaill another county final berth against Gaoth Dobhair in a fortnight's time.
