The Cork Competitions Control Committee (CCC) have ordered a replay between Blarney and Bride Rovers in the Senior A hurling championship semi-final.

It comes after last Saturday’s clash between the clubs at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, which Bride Rovers won on penalties, saw Rovers with a 16th man on the pitch for a crucial play at the end of extra time.

Blarney lodged an objection with the county board before a full investigation was launched by the CCC on Thursday night and this morning it was confirmed that the clubs would have to play again.

Fixture details are to be confirmed along with a decision on whether the competition’s final against Newcestown, which is scheduled for Sunday fortnight, October 22nd, will need to be moved.
