Barry Ward has been installed as Donegal minor football manager for 2024.

The Ballyshannon man, who served as U16 manager in 2022, takes over the role from Luke Barrett, who is now part of new senior manager Jim McGuinness’ backroom team. Ward managed his home club Aodh Ruadh to a Donegal IFC title in 2020 before guiding them to a SFC quarter-final against St Michael’s the following year.

The appointment was ratified at Monday night’s county board meeting.
