The semi-finals of this year’s Cavan senior football championship are set following quarter-final replay victories for Gowna and Ramor United today (Sunday).

Holders Gowna will face favourites Crosserlough in the last four after seeing off Killygarry at the second attempt with a 1-13 to 1-10 win in Lacken.

Seanie Hartin registered the Longford border men’s goal in the first-half and while Mattie McKenna would pull one back and make it a three-point game for Killygarry, a late point from DJ Madden ensured a return to last four for Fintan Reilly’s men.

Ramor United defeated Laragh United by 1-16 to 1-12 in the later replay clash in Lavey, setting up a semi-final showdown with Kingscourt Stars next weekend.
