Errigal Ciaran are two wins away from retaining their Tyrone senior football championship crown after seeing off Moortown by 2-8 to 0-6 this afternoon.
The three Canavans led the way again for the holders, registering the lion’s share of their winning tally in Loughmaccroy.
In the wet conditions, the victors held a 0-4 to 0-2 lead at the halfway stage and struck their first goal seven minutes into the second-half via Ruairi Canavan.
His brother Darragh Canavan added a point while their cousin Tommy Canavan kept the scoreboard ticking over with frees before substitute Brian Horisk smashed to the net with three minutes remaining to wrap up the win.
The day’s other SFC quarter-final in the O’Neill County saw Trillick and Edendork crossing swords in Carrickmore where Lee Brennan's late free gave Trillick a 0-14 to 1-10 victory.
