Glenswilly advanced to the quarter-finals of the Donegal senior football championship this afternoon with a 1-16 to 0-10 win over neighbours Glenfin at O’Donnell Park, Letterkenny.
The victors were in control in the first-half as Donal Gallagher’s goal and three points from former Donegal captain Michael Murphy sent them towards a commanding 1-7 to 0-2 half-time lead.
Daniel Marley struck a brace of point for Glenfin after the turnaround as they looked to get back within touching distance.
Points from Keelan Dunleavy and Murphy (‘45’) kept the 2016 champions in full control however, as they cruised into the last eight.
