AFL star Oisín Mullin was back in action for his GAA club Kilmaine last weekend.

The former Mayo defender and two-time Young Footballer of the Year is home from Australia at the moment after the Geelong Cats’ season ended in disappointment. Mullin along with Kerry’s Mark O’Connor were given permission by the Cats to play for their clubs.

While O’Connor won a Kerry club SFC title with Dingle on the weekend before last, Mullin couldn’t save Kilmaine from a 2-11 to 2-14 defeat to Moy Davitts in the last round of the Mayo IFC group stage.

"Wonderful to see Geelong AFL star Oisin Mullin back in the green and red today," Mayo GAA tweeted.

"Oisin lined out with his local Kilmaine GAA club this afternoon against Moy Davitts in the final round of the Egan Jewellers Mayo GAA Intermediate football championship."
