Clonguish dumped former Leinster kingpins Mullinalaghta out of the Longford SFC with a sensational 1-12 to 0-9 quarter-final victory at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park last evening.

The sides were level on 0-9 apiece before Matthew Carey scored the only goal from a penalty midway through the second half to hand Clonguish the initiative. Liam Belton's side added three more points after that to book their place in the semi-finals against Dromard, who were comfortable 1-15 to 0-9 winners over Rathcline in yesterday's other quarter-final.

Luke Dempsey's Killoe Young Emmets and Colmcille will face off in the other last-four tie following their respective victories over Longford Slashers (1-18 to 3-9) and St Mary's, Granard (1-14 to 1-8) on Saturday.

The semi-finals will be played on the weekend of September 30 / October 1.
