2017 All-Ireland SHC winner Johnny Glynn could be in hot water after he was involved in a controversial incident during last Sunday's televised Galway SHC Round 3 encounter between Ardrahan and Sarsfields.

Galway CCC are expected to investigate the flashpoint which has been widely condemned on social media. Video footage appeared to show Ardrahan forward Glynn putting his hands around the neck of Darren Morrissey while pinning the Sarsfields corner back to the ground just before half-time. Glynn was eventually dragged away and both players were issued with yellow cards.

However, Glynn - who has lined out for the New York footballers in recent years - could face further punishment if the CCC decides to take retrospective action.
