There have been calls for Connor McAliskey to be recalled to the Tyrone football squad after he scored a whopping 4-8 for Clonoe yesterday.
An Ulster SFC medallist in 2016 and 2017, McAliskey stepped away from the county squad in June 2021 and thus missed out on their All-Ireland triumph later that summer. He hasn’t featured for the Red Hands since, but his scoring exploits in Clonoe’s landslide 5-18 to 0-6 Division 2 League victory over Rock would suggest that he may still have something to offer at the highest level.
