Henry Shefflin and Padraic Joyce are set to remain on as Galway senior hurling and football manager respectively.

Galway Bay FM is reporting that Kilkenny legend Shefflin will continue for a third season in charge, while Joyce is entering his fifth season as football boss. 

After winning the Connacht SFC title in May, Galway were knocked out of the Sam Maguire Cup race at the preliminary quarter-final stage by neighbours Mayo, while the hurlers’ Liam MacCarthy Cup hopes were ended by four-in-a-row champions Limerick in the semi-final.
