Limerick forward Peter Casey was named ‘Man of the Match’ last night for his dazzling display against Kilkenny in the All-Ireland SHC final.
The Na Piarsaigh star struck five points from play – all in the second-half – at Croke Park as the Treaty men came from behind to record a 0-30 to 2-15 victory against the Cats.
GAA president Larry McCarthy revealed Casey as the ‘Man of the Match’ last night and presented him with the individual award at the team’s celebration night at the Fitzgerald’s Woodlands House Hotel in Adare.
