Jason Flynn has been ruled out of the rest of Galway's All-Ireland SHC campaign with a hamstring injury.
The All-Ireland winning Tommie Larkins forward is facing a three-month layoff after sustaining the injury in training. It means he will also miss the group stages of the Galway SHC.
Flynn scored a goal when he came on in the Leinster final defeat to Kilkenny, and was also introduced during Galway's All-Ireland quarter-final win over Tipperary.
But Galway manager Henry Shefflin has confirmed to Galway Bay FM that the player will not be available for Saturday evening's semi-final against Limerick, or the All-Ireland final should the Tribesmen make it that far.
