Kildare manager Glenn Ryan has been hit with two proposed eight-week suspensions arising from the Lilywhites' recent All-Ireland SFC preliminary quarter-final defeat to Monaghan.

Kildare succumbed to a last-gasp Conor McCarthy point, after which Ryan accused Mayo referee Jerome Henry of being "out of his depth". The Kildare boss also entered the referee's room in Glenisk O'Connor Park after the game to question some of the match official's decisions, and has been recommended for two separate suspensions by the CCCC as a result.

Should they stand, the suspensions will run concurrently for two months, but will also incorporate a two-match ban to be served at the beginning of next year's Allianz League.
