Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC quarter-final double-header is expected to attract a capacity 82,000 crowd to Croke Park.
The full house signs will be erected for the first time this summer when Dublin and Mayo renew their rivalry at 4pm and back-to-back Ulster champions Derry face an improving Cork team in the curtain-raiser at 1.45pm. Stand and Hill 16 tickets were sold out online on Tuesday night due to high demand.
The two All-Ireland SFC quarter-finals on Saturday – which controversially aren’t being shown on free-to-air TV – are also attracting plenty of interest and could draw an attendance in the region of 70,000.
All-Ireland champions Kerry meet Tyrone at 3.45pm, with the all-Ulster clash of Armagh and Monaghan following at 6pm.
