Works begin on Tuam Stadium refurbishment

Works have commenced on the refurbishment and reroofing of the stand at Tuam Stadium.
The antiquated roof on the stand is to be replaced as part of a major revamp which has been made possible thanks to a donation of €350,000 from the late Joe and Helen O’Toole of O’Toole’s Tuam, who committed to supporting the refurbishment in 2018. Tuam Stadium - which is the spiritual home of Galway football - will remain open for club games during the redevelopment works.
Local community group DAFTS (Development Advocates For Tuam Stadium) has posted photos on its Facebook page showing diggers at work along with the caption: “And so it begins. Halcon Steel preparing the ground work. Back of the stand.”
