Kilmacud Crokes are 60 minutes away from their seventh Dublin senior hurling championship title after seeing off Ballyboden St Enda’s with a 1-21 to 0-15 victory at Parnell Park.

Alex Considine’s goal midway through the first-half provided Crokes with the spark they needed after a sluggish start, as the points of Fergal Whitely and Davey Crowe late in the half ushered them towards a 1-12 to 0-10 half-time lead.

Oisin O’Rorke and Dara Purcell stretched that advantage to seven early in the second-half and Ballyboden were never able to close the gap sufficiently as they closest they came to their opponents was within five.

Fionn O’Ceallaigh (2) and Michael Roche sailed scores to round off the win for the holders which sees them into the decider against Cuala or Na Fianna, with the latter two set to clash tomorrow at Parnell Park (4pm).

The Stillorgan club are also in the county senior football final next weekend against Na Fianna, which leaves them with every chance of completing a second consecutive double success.
