The Wicklow SHC final is heading to a replay next weekend after a late point from substitute Jack Kavanagh earned Glenealy a 0-16 apiece draw with holders Bray Emmets in Aughrim today.
Three points in succession from Marc Lennon, Christy Moorehouse, scorer of 0-10, and Mikey Boland had Bray looking good for a fourth O’Donoghue Cup success in-a-row. But Glenealy dug deep to reduce the deficit to one point with Danny Staunton and Gavin Weir on target before Kavanagh converted in injury-time to leave it all-square at the final whistle.
Glenealy led by 0-8 to 0-7 at half-time and the sides were level nine times over the course of an entertaining contest at the County Grounds.
