The race for the Dan Breen Cup is down to eight teams after Clonoulty-Rossmore and JK Brackens came through tough preliminary quarter-finals at the weekend.
A late Stephen Ferncombe penalty gave Clonoulty-Rossmore - who continue to grieve the loss of Dillon Quirke - a 1-18 to 1-16 victory over last year's county finalists Thurles Sarsfields.
In the other preliminary quarter-final, goals from Andrew Ormonde and Shane Bourke inspired JK Brackens to a stunning 3-17 to 1-19 comeback win over Nenagh Éire Óg.
It means the eight teams in this evening's Tipperary SHC quarter-final draw are JK Brackens, Clonoulty-Rossmore, Kiladangan, Toomevara, Drom & Inch, Kilruane MacDonaghs, Upperchurch-Drombane and reigning champions Loughmore-Castleiney.
