Six players were sent off following an extra-time brawl in last Saturday's Offaly SFC 'B' semi-final between Clonbullogue and Tubber at O'Connor Park.

What had been a clean and sporting contest up until then turned ugly when the row erupted with time almost up. Tubber had four players sent off - Dan Kelliher, Ciaran Allen, Sean Farrell and county player Bernard Allen - while Clonbullogue subs Darragh Hickey and Peter Byrne also received their marching orders from referee Kevin Williamson.

Last year's Leinster club junior champions Clonbullogue came from behind to win by 2-17 to 1-12 and set up a final showdown with neighbours Bracknagh, who also needed extra-time to see off the other Clonbullogue parish side - Walsh Island - in yesterday's second semi-final.

Meanwhile, holders Tullamore and Rhode will face off in the Offaly SFC final for the third year-in-a-row after a late Diarmuid Egan goal sealed a 1-14 to 0-10 victory for the Blues over Edenderry yesterday.
