Blackrock will meet Erin’s Own in the Cork SHC semi-finals after they held their nerve to edge out Imokilly 3-0 on penalties at Pairc Ui Chaoimh.

The game had finished 2-23 to 1-26 after extra-time and Alan Connolly, Michael O’Halloran and Tadhg Deasy converted penalties for the Rockies in the shoot-out which saw goalkeeper Gavin Connolly save all three of Imokilly's efforts from William Leahy, Seamus Harnedy and Josh Beausang.

It was cruel luck for Denis Ring’s side who were denied victory in injury-time of normal time by Robbie Cotter's last-gasp goal that saw the teams tied at 1-17 apiece.

In today's opener at the Ballintemple venue, St Finbarr's defeated Douglas 0-22 to 0-18 to set up a last four date with Newtownshandrum.
