The second round of the Longford senior football championship was overshadowed by the failure of St Brigid's, Killashee to field against Longford Slashers.
The back-to-back intermediate champions were due to take on the Slashers in Newtowncashel on Friday evening, but were unable to fulfil the fixture on the back of a 4-19 to 0-3 defeat to Dromard.
According to the Longford Leader twitter account, St Brigid's had only 17 players available for their opening Connolly Cup game.
St Brigid's Killashee have conceded the game against Longford Slashers in Round 2 of the Peter Hanley Motors Senior Football Championship, scheduled to be played in Newtowncashel this Friday evening. Only 17 players were togged out for the Round 1 fixture v Dromard last weekend!
