Garrigan's "magical journey" with Meath ladies comes to an end

Paul Garrigan has stepped down from his role as Meath senior football ladies coach after spending the last six years involved in the team's incredible voyage.

Oldcastle native Garrigan and fellow Baltinglass clubmen Shane Wall and Paddy Dowling linked up with the Royal County set-up in 2017 after being contacted by manager Eamonn Murray.

Since that time, Meath ladies football has well and truly been on the crest of a wave as Murray’s women earned promotion from the intermediate ranks at the end of 2020, before making it back-to-back All-Ireland senior titles last Sunday with victory over Kerry at Croke Park.

This morning (Friday) Garrigan posted the below tweet to confirm his departure from the set-up, thanking those that “contributed to a magical journey” over the past five seasons.
