Andy McEntee as Meath football manager.

Former Meath boss Andy McEntee is expected to be confirmed as the new Antrim senior football manager.

The Dunboyne clubman stood down last month after six years at the helm of his native county during which he led them to Division 1 football, the Super Eights and two provincial finals.

His CV also includes leading Ballyboden to All-Ireland Club SFC honours and bringing Meath minor footballers to an All-Ireland final.

His name is up for ratification in Antrim in succession to Enda McGinley, who stood down having brought the Saffrons up to Division 3 of the Allianz FL in 2021.
