Wexford set up a Leinster U20HC semi-final with Dublin after edging out Laois by 0-17 to 0-16 at MW Hire O'Moore Park last night.
Cian Byrne scored 0-7 as the provincial minor champions from three years ago held on for the narrowest of victories. With Dan Delaney registering 0-6, Laois led by 0-9 to 0-7 at half-time, but Wexford upped the ante after the restart to open up a 0-13 to 0-10 advantage by the 45th minute thanks to some fine scores from Byrne and Corey Dunbar-Byrne.
Cillian Dunne and Shaun Fitzpatrick replied to reduce the deficit to the minimum before substitute Tomás Kinsella scored a quick brace to restore the Slaneysiders' three-point advantage.
Laois rallied again and scored the last two points, but Wexford survived.
Kilkenny and Offaly meet in the second quarter-final at UPMC Nowlan Park this evening for the right to face Galway in the other last-four tie.
