An injury-time goal from Jeaic McKelvey sealed and capped off a hard-earned 2-10 to 0-12 win for Donegal against All-Ireland champions Tyrone in tonight's Allianz Football League Division 1 clash at MacCumhaill Park.

The game looked destined for a draw with the sides tied at 1-9 to 0-12 on 64 minutes but up stepped Oisin Gallen on his home turf to edge Donegal ahead in injury-time before McKelvey palmed home to ensure them a four-point victory.

There was little to choose between the Ulster rivals throughout, with Conor O'Donnell netting the opening goal to leave the scoreline level at the break in Ballybofey, 1-4 to 0-7.

The first-half had been held up by eight minutes after an injury to Tyrone's Padraig McNulty following a collision with opponent Odhran McFadden-Ferry.

Donegal started the contest on the front foot with Kilcar clubmates Patrick McBrearty (free) and Ryan McHugh on target before Darragh Canavan and Darren McCurry (free) replied at the other end for the Red Hands.

The second-half followed a similar pattern as McCurry (2) swapped points with goalkeeper Shaun Patton and man-of-the-match O'Donnell.
