Cork went on another scoring spree to down Offaly at St Brendan's Park in Birr this afternoon, 4-25 to 1-15.

The Rebels followed up their Allianz Hurling League opening day win over Clare with an impressive 19-point victory over the Faithfuls.

Kieran Kingston's side have now scored 6-55 in two Division 1A outings, while they had 12 different scorers for the second successive week, with Shane Kingston helping himself to 2-8 on this occasion.

Played in heavy conditions, Cork bossed the first-half to roar into a 3-12 to 0-8 interval advantage, with Kingston, Darragh Fitzgibbon and Conor Lehane finding the back of Conor Clancy's net.

Substitute Colin O'Brien assisted Kingston for his second goal on 29 minutes to put further daylight between the teams.

Offaly did manage a consolation goal through Eoghan Cahill, who registered 1-9 of the home side's total.
