London came from ten points down to claim victory over Carlow in the opening round of the Allianz football league Division 4 campaign, their first in two years. 

The Exiles hadn't seen any competitive action since February 2020 and blew off the cobwebs in stunning fashion with a 2-11 to 1-13 win over Carlow at Netwatch Cullen Park this evening.

At one stage in the second-half, London had trailed by 0-3 to 1-10, but with Donegal recruit Enda McCormick and half-time substitute Fearghal McMahon causing the hosts plenty of problems in attack, they completed a sensational turnaround.

Carlow's cause wasn't helped by the loss of Jamie Clarke to a red card with 15 minutes left on the clock.

In Division 2, Derry eased past neighbours Down by 1-10 to 0-6 at Owenbeg with Niall Loughlin's goal midway through the opening half helping the Oakleafers towards a five-point lead at the break (1-6 to 0-4).

At the TUS Gaelic Grounds, four goals fired Limerick to an impressive 4-9 to 1-11 win over Longford. 

Billy Lee's men were well on course for the victory by the break as they led 3-5 to 0-7 with their entire first-half tally coming from play.

Elsewhere in Division 3, at Brewster Park, Antrim lowered the colours of Kieran Donnelly's Fermanagh on a scoreline of 1-14 to 0-8.

The Saffrons were 0-6 to 0-3 to the good at the interval before pulling clear of their Ulster opponents.
