The Leinster men’s and ladies senior football finals are set to be staged as a double header at Croke Park this year.

In a joint statement released by Leinster GAA and the Leinster LGFA yesterday evening both associations confirmed that the provincial two deciders will be held on May 28th at headquarters.

It’s set to mark a historic occasion as the two finals will share the same stage on the same day for the first time.

“We are only too delighted to co-host our Provincial Final with the Leinster LGFA,” Cathaoirleach Comhairle Laighean Pat Teehan said following the announcement.

“This year it so happened that both our fixture dates coincided perfectly and when Leinster LGFA made the request for a double header it was one, we were happy to facilitate.

“We look forward now, to what will be a great day of exposure for both codes.”
