Ballycran and Easkey are celebrating senior hurling championship titles in Down and Sligo following finals this afternoon.
At Ballygalget, Ballycran exacted revenge for their 2020 extra-time final loss to Portaferry. Despite the bad weather in the Ards Peninsula, it finished 2-25 to 3-20 in a high-scoring encounter after extra-time. The win pushes the 'Cran's to 27 at the top of the Jeremiah McVeigh Cup roll of honour.

In Sligo, Andrew Kilcullen led the charge for Easkey as they captured back-to-back crowns following a comfortable 3-21 to 0-10 win over Naomh Eoin. The Kent Park side only trailed 0-10 to 0-6 at the break but their hopes of a maiden success were dashed by the concession of three second-half goals. Kilcullen scored 2-4 for the winners.
