The GAA has confirmed this morning that the All-Ireland Under 20 hurling championship final between Cork and Galway will now take place next Wednesday evening, August 18th.
The game at Semple Stadium had originally been fixed for Tuesday at 7.30pm but has now been pushed back by 24 hours.
The association has also confirmed that tickets already purchased for the Tuesday game will be valid for Wednesday.
The GAA released the following statement on Saturday morning: "To ensure conclusion of the process related to the drafting of the statutory instrument currently required for hosting larger attendances at our fixtures during the pandemic, the GAA confirms that Tuesday evening's scheduled GAA Hurling U20 Championship final meeting of Cork and Galway in Thurles has been pushed back by 24 hours."
