Team news: Connolly and Barrett ineligible for Cork U20s

Cork will open the defence of their Munster and All-Ireland U20 hurling titles tomorrow evening against Tipperary without Alan Connolly and Shane Barrett after they featured for the seniors in their recent Munster championship semi-final defeat to Limerick.

Manager Pat Ryan will, however, be able to call on dual stars Brian Hayes and Jack Cahalane for the Semple Stadium showdown. They are among seven survivors from the team that defeated Dublin in the delayed 2020 All-Ireland U20HC final only nine days ago, with the others being Dáire O'Leary, Ciaran Joyce, Darragh Flynn, Padraig Power and Cormac O'Brien.
