A second round of Covid-19 testing within the Wexford senior hurling squad has resulted in no positive results which will allow Sunday’s rearranged Allianz HL match in Nowlan Park to proceed.
The Kilkenny v Wexford Division 1 fixture was postponed last weekend after a number of positive cases in Davy Fitzgerald’s senior hurling camp.
Two rounds of testing have shown there are no more cases in the group and Wexford County Board in a statement this afternoon said: “Wexford GAA wish to confirm that further testing of our senior hurling panel revealed no positive cases. The panel will resume training and will be in a position to fulfil our upcoming fixture against Kilkenny.”
