Collingwood star Mark Keane has been named in reserve for Cork as they prepare to face neighbours Kerry in Sunday's Munster SFC semi-final at Pairc Ui Chaoimh (throw-in 4pm).

The 20-year-old is a surprise inclusion by manager Ronan McCarthy, having just signed a new two-year deal with the Melbourne club off the back of making his AFL debut in August.

McCarthy has handed first championship starts to 2019 All-Ireland U20 winners Maurice Shanley, Sean Meehan and Colm O’Callaghan at full back, centre back and centre forward, respectively.

Joining Keane on a strong looking bench are the likes of experienced duo Sean White and Paul Kerrigan, with Cian Kiely, James Loughrey and Cathail O’Mahony being notable absentees.

Cork (Munster SFC v Kerry): Micheal Martin; Sean Powter, Maurice Shanley, Kevin Flahive; Kevin O’Donovan, Sean Meehan, Mattie Taylor; Ian Maguire, Killian O’Hanlon; John O’Rourke, Colm O’Callaghan, Ruairi Deane; Mark Collins, Brian Hurley, Luke Connolly.

Subs: Anthony Casey, Sam Ryan, Paul Ring, Michael Hurley, Tadhg Corkery, Paul Walsh, Kevin O’Driscoll, Sean White, Paul Kerrigan, Mark Keane, Damien Gore.
