Kilcar's Donegal SFC final date with holders Naomh Conaill in Ballybofey has been put back to Wednesday, 7 October over safety concerns.

The Donegal county board had been pressing ahead with plans for the Dr Maguire Cup decider to be played on Sunday next even though a player from one of the clubs tested positive for Covid-19. But a meeting of county CCC members this afternoon, led to a u-turn on their decision to confirm the fixture for this weekend.

The county SFC relegation play-off between Dungloe and Milford and IFC final featuring Aodh Ruadh and Cloughaneely will remain as scheduled. Meanwhile, the SHC final is fixed for Saturday, 3 October, Setanta face St Eunan's in Letterkenny.
