This weekend’s Donegal SFC final is set to go ahead despite a player from one of the clubs having tested positive for Covid-19.

Defending champions Naomh Conaill are set to face Kilcar in Ballybofey this Sunday afternoon, despite a player from the latter club testing positive over the weekend.

Yesterday’s meeting of the Donegal Competitions Controls Committee confirmed that the final will go ahead as there is only one positive case.

However, circumstances may change if there’s an increase in positive cases, with October 11 understood to be earmarked for an alternate date for the final.
