A Cork GAA club has warned fans over a credit card scam targeting those looking to stream its games online.
Éire Óg had been informed that their recent game against Douglas had been targeted by scammers looking for fans’ credit card details to access what had been a fake link to live stream the game.
The club warned its supporters via Facebook yesterday over the fraudsters’ attempts, stating that they are one of a number of clubs in the county to have been targeted by the scam.
“We have been informed of a scam by fraudsters using YouTube, trying to scam people out of their credit card details to watch our hurling game yesterday," he said.
"Please do not click on any of these links. We are among a number of Cork clubs being targeted by this scam.
"When we will stream a game you will be informed beforehand where you can watch this game. This will be the only source you will be able to watch it."Tweet
