History will be made this Sunday when Carlow meets Laois for the first time at this stage of the provincial campaign.

Carlow champions St Mullins take on Laois counterparts Rathdowney-Errill at Netwatch Cullen Park at 1.30pm.

There have been very few meetings between the counties in the Leinster club SHC over the years.

However, the last meeting was an opening round clash which saw Mount Leinster Rangers defeat Camross by five points.

Sunday’s meeting is expected to be a tight affair and both sides will be eager to grasp the opportunity of reaching a Leinster club final.
