Clonkill and Castletown-Geoghegan will contest this year's Westmeath SHC final following their respective wins over Raharney and Lough Lene Gaels in yesterday's semi-final double-header at TEG Cusack Park.

Peadar Scally's first half goal was the difference as champions Clonkill defeated Raharney by 1-15 to 0-15. Clonkill, who made a poor start to the championship, led by 1-8 to 0-9 at the break before Raharney battled back to level through points from Robbie Greville and the Doyle twins, Ciaran and Killian. But late scores from Mark Keegan, dual star Luke Loughlin and the evergreen Brendan Murtagh earned the Loughegar men a place in the final.

In the other semi-final, 2017 winners Castletown-Geoghegan strolled to a 2-22 to 1-10 victory over Lough Lene Gaels with Westmeath captain Aonghus Clarke posting 0-10 and brothers Niall and Ciaran O'Brien scoring 1-3 apiece.
