The Kerry team for tonight's U20 Football League opener away to Cork in Clonakilty has been announced (throw-in 7pm).

David Clifford and Diarmuid O'Connor are both unavailable due to their senior commitments while Rathmore's Brian Friel is out injured for the long-term. However, despite the notable absentees, manager Jack O'Connor is still able to name a strong starting 15 which is backboned by ten players from the highly-rated 2017 All-Ireland winning minor crop.

Meanwhile, midfielder Paul O'Shea and forwards Killian Falvey, Sean Quilter and Paul Walsh were part of last year's minor side that made history by winning a five-in-a-row of All-Ireland titles for the Kingdom.

Kerry (U20FL v Cork): Brian Lonergan; Niall Donohue, Chris O'Donoghue, Michael Potts; Sean O'Leary, Patrick Warren, Cian Gammell; Joe O'Connor, Paul O'Shea; Eddie Horan, Fiachra Clifford, Killian Falvey; Sean Quilter, Donal O'Sullivan, Paul Walsh.

Subs: Deividas Uosis, Eoghan McElligott, Jack O'Sullivan, Mark Fitzgerald, Patrick Moriarty, Jimmy O'Grady.
