Kilkenny referee Paschal Long took charge of 32 finals during his illustrious career, including the 1984 All-Ireland between Cork and Offaly in Thurles.
Recently inducted into the GAA’s Hall of Fame, the Carrickshock clubman enjoyed a distinguished 16-year refereeing career.
According to The Kilkenny People, Paschal, who received his award at Croke Park from GAA President John Horan, took charge of six Kilkenny SHC finals, six IHC finals and five junior deciders as well as five special junior ‘A’ finals, one special junior ‘B’ final and four MHC finals.
