Clare's football clubs joined forces to pay tribute to former county footballer Michael O'Shea this weekend.

A gifted corner-forward who was a regular on the Banner County squad for 15 years, Michael sadly passed away on Tuesday, August 21st last at the age of 37 following illness.

The county's football championship took centre stage over the weekend and the high esteem in which Michael was held across the county was very much in evidence.

His St Senan's Kilkee team-mates did him proud with a 1-17 to 2-10 intermediate football victory over Clarecastle.
